8 Months Old

Well I wanted to take pictures of Gracie when she turned 6 months old but it was in the middle of selling and moving so it didn't happen. But I did get some of her at 8 months. I took this one afternoon while the kids were at school. I think the turned out pretty great!

I just love her silly face in this one. "Mom what are you doing?"

Moving Day

We have sold our house and it has been a great blessing for us and the lady who bought our home. It's been so neat to see the Lord answer our prayers by answering another families too. We sold our home in February but our house will not be done until May so we started searching for a rental. We wanted to stay some where close to where we are currently so that the kids can still go to school and we can still attend our current ward. We didn't want to change too much too fast with the kids. As another HUGE blessing to our family a home with in our same neighborhood and ward boundaries became available to rent. The Lord is very much aware of us and our needs and we feel his hand guiding us.

Now when moving day came it was a day full of emotions. As I packed I started to think about all of the wonderful memories we have made in our home. As furniture was take out of house it became so very empty and I started to realize that this was really happening. This was no longer our home. We have LOVED our home and saying good bye was hard.

Date night

For christmas I bought Jared and I tickets to see Brian Regan live. He's a comedian that we've been listening to since we were dating. He is clean good humor and you will laugh until you cry. If you haven't heard if him look him up, you won't regret it.

We were able to go on a double date with some good friends, the Hardens. We had a delicious dinner at the Cheesecake Factory & then watched the show. It was a great date night.

Our New House

Big changes are happening in our family. We are building a new house in Salem. We are very excited! Here are some pictures of our house being built.

The plans

Our basement dug out

Basement walls up

Basement complete

Outside walls being built

Inside walls complete & roof going up
Roof done

Shingles on and doors & windows in

This all happened with in about 4 weeks. Things are moving quickly and the house should be done at the end of April or beginning of May.

Now many have asked why Salem. It's not closer to Jared's work. We currently live in a great location to Jared's work but we have out grown our home. It's small & with three kids we are feeling very cramped.

We tried to find a place in our current area but it was beyond our budget. So as we expanded our search we fell in love with Salem. We were able to get the home we wanted and with in our budget.

As things have moved forward we have felt the lords had in our lives and know that we are following his plan and doing the right thing. We are very blessed.

Videos

I found a bunch of random pictures of my kids on my phone. These pictures were not taken by me. Looks like my kids got a hold of my phone and were having a great time taking pictures of each other. I decided to make a little slideshow of the pictures.

This video is of Gracie having her first taste of these baby crackers.

Fun Pictures from 2014

Just thought I'd share a few of my favorite pictures from 2014 so far.

Gracie's first bites of baby cereal. She LOVED it and is a great eater.

I took this picture at my Grandma's viewing. I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful family.

Just a fun picture of the kids. At Christmas time Ray and Amy gave everyone a gift card and the kids were so excited to use theirs on this night.

This picture is for Jimmy and Shannon. Madelyn LOVES she Christmas present!

My beautiful princess wearing curly hair and the skirt I made her for Chrismas

Sweet baby Gracie! She was feeling pretty sick this day with a nasty cough and ear infection but she was still smilin.

This picture brings me so much joy. Madelyn and Jared are looking at her scrapbook. This is why I scrapbook!

Madelyn's heart shaped hair do for Valentines day.

These were taken last weekend at the Mount Timp Temple. My brother Brandon and his wife Sara were sealed. What a beautiful day it was. We are SOOO happy for them!

Beginning Again

Well it's been almost a year since I've posted anything to our blog. Since signing up for Instagram I have been pretty much only posting things there but I realize that not everyone is on Instagram. So I've decided to start posting things here again. The majority of what I post on the blog I will also be posting on Instagram. So feel free to follow me there (shannyv24).

I've also add an option for you to sign up to receive an email every time I post something on the blog (on the top right side of the blog). Then you'll always be up to date with the Vidoni's. I hope you are all well and will keep following along as I revive this blog.

A year long project

Have you heard of project life? It’s all the craze right now. It’s just another way to scrapbook but what makes it so appealing to so many people is how simple it is. I’ve been following Project Life for a few years now and have wanted to dive in and see if I like it but I’m so much a digi scrapper now that I felt like I would loose some of my creativity by doing Project Life. But I have realized that it’s easy and wonderful and still fills my need to be creative.
So why am I telling you all this? Well because I’m doing a week in the life of the Vidoni’s Project Life style. Which means I’ll be scrapping all about our day to day life one week at a time and posting it here for your and mostly my enjoyment :) I have a feeling that this will take the place of most of blogging because I’ll already be scrapping about what we are doing. So I hope you enjoy my pages and catching up on what we are doing…
Here are my pages about January. I hope you can read all of my journaling. If you can’t let me know so I can make changes to my pages so that they will be larger for you to read.
