As many of you know Jared and I were blessed with a healthy baby boy last week. Jared and I are so excited to have this sweet spirit in our home. I often look at him in awe and amazement. How did I get so lucky? I have a wonderful husband and a sweet baby boy. Ethan was born on October 28th at 9:35 pm he was 9lbs and 21 1/2 inches long. Due to his large size I had to have a c-section but I am recovering well and excited to start this wonderful adventure of motherhood. Below are a few pictures from his first week of life.
Here we are patiently waiting for Ethan to come. My labor started out good and strong but once I got to the hospital it slowed down. After many hours of waiting it was finally time to deliver...only Ethan was too big.

So adorable!!! Congratulations! Take it easy with the stitches, but no worries, the little guy is so worth the 6 weeks! Hopefully I can meet cute little Ethan over Christmas break.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! What a handsome, healthy ENORMOUS baby you have!! He really is adorable. One nice thing about c-section babies is they always have nicely-shaped heads!! We've discovered that a nice, big, round head is the key to a really cute baby. By the way, I LOVE the Halloween costume!!!

He is soooooooo adorable Shan!!!! I can't believe how big he is!! I'm used to seeing tiny new borns around.... it's good to see a nice big healthy boy!!!! Congratulations, and good luck in the new ventures of Motherhood!!!!

What an adorable baby! I love the name Ethan. My little Jesse was born this time last year and it is really amazing how fast time flies.
