Homemade walker

On Sunday while I was cooking dinner Ethan was playing in the Kitchen underneath the table. When I looked down to check on him this is what I found.
I wasn't able to get my camera fast enough to catch the whole thing but he moved the chair from the table all the way to the other side of the kitchen. We are in trouble!

Adysen turns 2 and Mother's Day

This past weekend was full of family and parties. Saturday we celebrated my niece's 2nd birthday. She is so sweet and lovable. I can hardly believe that she is already two. We bought her this little tent.

She got her very own butterfly cake

Then on Sunday we went to my mom's to celebrate Mother's day. Ethan got to sit in Great Grandma's high chair (which is so old that it's made out of all metal. My Aunt Trudy used this chair when she was a kid). Adysen saw Ethan sitting in the chair so she had to sit in it too.
Then the phone call came. The one that we've been waiting for...Elder Brandon Withers called home yeah! It was great to hear his voice and know that his is doing well. Ethan even tried to say hello

Well it was a great weekend and I'm so happy to be with my family. I love them all so very much and I was so glad to celebrate my first Mother's Day. Being a mom is an amazing blessing and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks to my mom for being such a great example and for being such a great granny to my baby boy.

Photo shoot of my little man

My wonderful friend Brittney took some amazing pictures of Ethan for me. She bought a new fancy camera and was kind enough to practice her photo skills on Ethan. I love every picture she took but here are a few of my favorites

If you'd like to see more photos check them out on Britt's blog

Intoducing Fisher

Last Monday morning the Vidoni family was blessed with another sweet baby boy. Jared's sister had her baby bright and early and they are doing great! Welcome Fisher!

6 months and...

My baby turned 6 months on April 28th and he decided that he was tired of just laying around so he started crawling! Jared and I were teaching our primary class when Ethan just took off across the room for a piece of paper that was on the floor. I was so surprised that I stopped in the middle of my lesson and looked at Jared in shock. Ever since then he hasn't stopped moving instead he's standing up! In just a week my baby went for sitting quietly and playing with the toys in front of him to chasing me around the house and standing up where every he had hold onto and creating lots of messes. My life will never be the same!

I took this video after we came home from church. I didn't think he would be able to crawl at home because we have slippery wood floors and the church had carpet...well he proved me wrong.

And don't worry he loves cords. He seems to find them even when I can't.

Once he started crawling he discovered that the entertainment center is just the right height for him. So most days he pulls everything off this shelf and then tries to stand up.
Then he realized that the bars in his bead work great of standing up...this is usually how we find him after naps and in the morning

And today while I was washing his bottles I looked down to see this

My baby is growing so fast :(

I've been tagged

Melissa Davis has tagged me so here we go...7 things about me

1. I played the saxophone 7th - 10th grade (I know that many of you are laughing right now) and I really enjoyed it. Funny story...my bedroom was right next to the back door of my neighbors and they could always hear me playing/practicing. One day my mom came home and said that she had been talking to the neighbors and they commented on how my playing ability has improved. LOL!

2. I LOVE to scrapbook and lately I have really enjoyed digital scrapbooking. You can see my wonderful pages here

3. Sunday was my very first Mother's day and it was wonderful. Jared made me breakfast and when I came home from church I had a dozen roses and balloons waiting for me. Isn't my husband great!

4. I'm working again! I'm cleaning for a wonderful lady and the best part is that Ethan comes along with me. This is such blessing for us right now because not only can I work we don't have to pay for daycare. Some days are harder then other but for the most part Ethan just plays on the floor or in a jumperoo.

5. Jared proposed to me on September 17th 2005 at Sundance. I had no idea it was coming and to top it all off he wrote me a poem. I would share the poem with you but Jared says it's for my eyes only. Trust me it's a tear jerker. We were then married on November 17th 2005 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple.

6. I LOVE this picture. This was take at my reception. Jared and I had our reception at the Cedar Hills Golf course which has an amazing view. One of my favorite things is looking at city lights, especially when you can see the temple.
7. Jared is officially a graduate of Utah Valley University. He finished his last semester in April and we are so proud of him. He is the first college graduate in his family and mine.

Well there you have it a few things about me :) Now I tag...Jenalee, Becky, Brittney, Kristy, Heather, & Leslie.

A few new pictures

Our little Ethan is quickly growing. He can already sit up all by himself and he is getting really close to crawling. He can get up on his hands and knees and I think it will only be a few days before he's on the go. He loves to roll and can roll from his back to his belly and then from his belly to his back. And today he totally surpised me and sat up all by himself. I was watching TV and he was playing on the floor infront of me and then I looked down to check on him and there he was sitting up on his bum looking at me with this HUGE grin! Here are a few recent pictures I've taken.

And last but not least a little video to brighten your day!

My thoughts and actions

So lately I have really been getting into scrapbooking...digital scrapbooking that is. I joined this fun website called scrapmatter and they do a weekly challenge. The LO below is what I made for this week's challenge. We were supposed to only use one picture and we had to list 10 things were were currently focused on or ten things we'd like to focus on. I decided to do my on what is going on in my life right now. It was really neat to sit and think about what is happening at this very moment in my life. We have a night time routine with Ethan were we read him a story before he goes to bed. One night while Jared was reading to Ethan I realize just how into the story he was so I grabbed my camera and took this picture. I LOVE IT! It is just so precious.

Jumperoo

A few months ago we bought Ethan a jumperoo. At first his little legs were too short to touch the floor but now that his is a little older he can touch and jump like you wouldn't believe. Here are a couple of video clips of him jumping.
I love this one cuz you can see him looking at me and giving me a big smile.

This one show just how crazy he can get in his new favorite toy.

Grandma's Birthday

A few weeks ago we celebrated my Mom's birthday. The picture below is of my mom, Ethan and my niece Adysen. Adysen LOVES Ethan! Every time she sees him she says "babies" and wants to hold him. She loves to give him kisses and hugs.

Here is a cute picture of my Dad and his 2 grandkids. My dad loves nothing more then to spend time with these two as long as they aren't crying. That's the best part of being a grandpa. Once they cry you can give them back to their parents.

Solid Foods

Ethan is now 4 months old and we have started feeding him rice cereal. He wasn't quite sure what to do when we tried to feed him from a spoon. At one point he wanted to hold the spoon and feed himself. Here are a few pictures and a couple of videos from his first taste of solid food.

This video is of his very first bite of cereal

After a little while I think he figured out that this cereal taste pretty good. In this video he gets really excited.

Rolly Polly Baby

While Jared and I were visiting his parents Ethan crossed a milestone. Our little boy can roll over all by himself! I was able to catch the last part of him rolling over in this video. Babies really do grow up so fast.

All done!

Our dear friend Chad loves Ethan and LOVES to spoil him. When Ethan was just a few days old Chad come over with his arms fun of presents. One of which were these cute shoes. Ethan is finally big enough to wear them so I had to show them off.
