Stupid bugs!

Remember this picture from a few years ago?

Well now our backyard tree blew over and we found out this this little bug was living inside of it. I'm afraid that both of our trees are full of bugs and quickly dying. That means we have no shade and now we have to buy new trees. What a bummer!

Potty

So Ethan has a new favorite thing to do...sit on the potty. This has just developed over that past week. Some times he'll sit on it with his clothes on, other times he wants is diaper off and a few times he wants all of his clothes off. He doesn't do much when he's sitting on there but he sure loves to flush the toilet and wash his hands when he's done.

Father's Day

This year we were in sunny St. George for Father's Day. Ethan gave his Grandpas a tie with his hand print on it and he gave Jared an apron with his hand print. He thought it was great fun to paint his hand and put it on the ties and apron. And I think his dad and Grandpas enjoyed the presents too. I had to give my dad his present early and totally forgot to get a picture of Ethan with Grandpa Withers. But here are a few with Grandpa Vidoni and Jared.

Vidoni girl time!

This past weekend we had a fun Vidoni girls weekend. It stared off with a night out to the Tuacahn musical theatre to watch Footloose! One of my favorite movies brought to life. If you ever have a chance to see a show at the Tuacahn I highly recommend it. We even talked about going back this Oct. to see Thriller!

The next day we had breakfast at IHOP, then pedicures and then headed to Las Vegas to enjoy some delicious food, Freemont Street and some sun. By recommendation from my wonderful friend Brittney we ate at The Cheesecake Facotry. She told me to try the fried macaroni and my goodness it was sooo good!

On our way to dinner we were able to stop and watch the water show in front of the Bellagio. This is always one of my favorites things to see in Vegas.

Here we are waiting for table at the Cheesecake Factory.

And here we are by the pool showing off our beautiful pedicures. It was a fun weekend with lots of fun memories!

Our Garden

Well I thought I'd post how our garden is doing. It took a little while but it's in full bloom now. Everything is growing and some things are growing better then others but we are hoping to have lost of yummy things to eat this fall. Our carrots are up, we have lots of tomatoes and a squash! We would have had some strawberries too but every time we'd get a nice ripe one some animal would eat it! Then the animal started eating all of the strawberries even if they weren't ripe. Oh well I guess.

And here's a cute picture of Ethan enjoying the nice weather outside. He LOVES to be outside and loves to swing in his swing.

New pics of Ethan

Last week Ethan and I had a wonderful lunch with my friend Brittney who so kindly took some pictures of Ethan for me. They turned out sooo cute! Here are a few of my favorites.

Ethan LOVES this dog. It goes everywhere with him. When he's tired he likes to play with the dogs tail and stick it in his ear. I guess it helps him fall asleep.

Isn't he so handsome and big! I can't believe that at the end of this month he'll be 20 months! Wow! Were did the time go?

My Mother's Day

I had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day! The day started out with Jared letting me sleep in while he took care of Ethan. When I woke up and come to the kitchen I found this...
Breakfast (waffles, eggs, and sausage) a dozen BEAUTIFUL roses, an AMAZING picture of Christ and the MOST yummy chocolate treats. I was totally surprised cuz I told Jared that for my Mother's Day present I wanted to buy some flowers to plant in our yard but I'd wait to get those later. So I wasn't expecting anything! Isn't my husband wonderful! I love him so much and I so lucky to have such a sweet, loving, thoughtful hubby.

After breakfast we got ready for church and then went to my mom's for dinner and a wonderful phone call from my little brother who's on his mission in Iowa. He'll be home in less then 6 months! Wow time has gone by so quickly! I'm so proud of him!

Then we headed up to my grandma's for a visit and the later to see Jared's mom. She came up from St. George this weekend and we had such a great visit. Ethan had loads of fun. He played all day with Addy. These pictures were taken at my Grandma's in her tree house. They are so cute together.

While we were at my mom's Ethan figured out how to climb up the ladder and on to my mom's trap. He LOVED it! These are a few clips of Ethan jumping.

Silly Ethan

This is a picture of my closet and Ethan's favorite hiding place. When he's into something he knows he shouldn't be he hides here. When we are playing a game and he's running from me...he hides here. Whenever I need to find him I'll look here first.

And here is a picture of Dad dressing up Ethan. I laughed pretty hard when they showed me his new look.

Our Square-Foot Garden

Since Jared and I have been married we've always had some kind of garden. The first year our garden was at my grandma's and was semi succesful. Last year I was excited to have our garden in the back yard but all I got planted was 4 tomato plants that my dad gave me and I planted them WAY too late. All I got was green tomatos. BUT this year will be different (we hope). We have a square-foot garden! Jared's mom and I took this class a few years ago during education week and it was really interesting and seems full-proof and easy. So are giving it a go and I'm very hopeful that we will have a susseful harvest.

First Jared built our garden boxes.
(As you can see Ethan was daddy's little helper.) Next Jared mixed the dirt. Then we filled the boxed and made our gride. Then we planted carrots, peppers, 3 kinds of tomatos, strawberries, cucumbers, straight neck squash, & spagehtti squash. We also planted 2 rows of corn and cantalope out side of our boxes. I know it's a lot of stuff but just imagine all of the yummy things we'll be eating.

Easter

Ethan woke up bright and early on Easter morning and it didn't take him long to find his basket. He was very excited about it, especially the bouncy balls and the m&m's.

After church we headed to my Grandma Burch's for our family feast and Easter egg hunt. At first Ethan was a little unsure what was going on and why he had to put the eggs in his basket but it didn't take him long to understand that the name of the game was to get as many eggs as you can.

Yeah look at all of the eggs we got!

Look what's inside!

I really wanted to get a good picture of Ethan and my Grandma but I couldn't get Ethan to give me a good smile and when I got home I realized that my camera lens had a finger print on it! So this picture isn't what I wanted it to be but oh well.
