Our Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

This year my little sister and her husband wanted a "live" Christmas tree. They went to Herber and stood in line to get a permit so that the we could cut down our own Christmas tree. Well Jared and I weren't able to go with my siblings to cut the trees down but they were nice enough to bring us a tree. I'm sorry to say that we were all disappointed. The trees in Utah are not the Christmas trees we had in mind. It took Jared and I about 2 weeks to get our tree up and when we finally did it look just like Charlie Brown's tree. Oh well it created great memories for us. Thanks little brother and sister for getting our tree this year!

The Boppy

For all of you who know what a Boppy pillow is you will get a kick out of this and for those of you who don't here is a brief description: the Boppy pillow supports baby as you nurse and also as your little one rests, plays and learns to sit up. Well one day I came from the back bedroom to the living room to find my husband a sleep...using the Boppy as his pillow! I laughed so hard that I had to run and get my camera. Then the next day Jared had that pillow around his neck again! It has become his favorite pillow. What a silly husband I have :)

Pictures from Iowa

My little brother Brandon is currently serving a mission in Iowa. They recently had an ice storm and he sent me these very cool looking pictures.

Don't worry he isn't braking the car window...that is ICE!

Pictures!

Well we finally got our pictures taken and I think they turned out well. This is the only picture Ethan smiled in and thank goodness it was our family picture.

Here are the pictures of Ethan is his blessing outfit...isn't he handsome? My favorite picture is the one in the top right. If you can't tell is making a kissy face and he does that all of the time. It is the perfect picture of my little boy.

And here is our little Santa baby wishing you all a Merry Christmas. I had great ambitions to send out a Christmas card but as usual I'm a day late and a dollar short. In other words I still don't have my cards done but I will eventually send them out :)

Announcing Ethan Sumner Vidoni

As many of you know Jared and I were blessed with a healthy baby boy last week. Jared and I are so excited to have this sweet spirit in our home. I often look at him in awe and amazement. How did I get so lucky? I have a wonderful husband and a sweet baby boy. Ethan was born on October 28th at 9:35 pm he was 9lbs and 21 1/2 inches long. Due to his large size I had to have a c-section but I am recovering well and excited to start this wonderful adventure of motherhood. Below are a few pictures from his first week of life.

Here we are patiently waiting for Ethan to come. My labor started out good and strong but once I got to the hospital it slowed down. After many hours of waiting it was finally time to deliver...only Ethan was too big.

Jared is all dressed up to go into surgery with me.

Welcome Ethan!

Here is a picture of the first time I got to hold Ethan.

He is a boy of many faces but this one is his most famous.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday was my 27th birthday...can you believe it? I'm getting so old! It was a very good and relaxing birthday. My day began with a wonderful phone call from my little brother Brandon. He was at the airport getting ready to fly to his mission in Des Moines Iowa. It was great to hear his voice and hear how excited he was to fly to his area. Then I had to go to work but work was pretty slow which was very nice. My wonderful friend Brittney took me to lunch and after work Jared took me out to eat at one of my favorite resturants...the Olive Garden. Then we went home and had a nice relaxing evening together. I'm only 5 days way from my due date so laying around the house has become one of my favorite past times. Thanks to all of those who wished me a happy birthday. It really was a great day.

Bitter Sweet

Last Wednesday we had to say good-bye to my little brother Brandon. We took him to the MTC where he is preparing to serve in the Des Monies Iowa mission. He will only be there for 3 weeks and then he is off to serve and teach the people in Iowa. We are very proud of Brandon and his righteous decision to serve the Lord. It was hard to say good-bye but we know that his spirit will touch the lives of many people.

Look at what I have created! Ok so I can't take all of the credit. My dear friend Brittney created this LO and I just copy, cut and pasted everything else.

House of Terror

Jared and I have been in our house for about 4 months now. In that 4 months we have had a few things break, fall or stop working. First it was our dishwasher, then the fridge, then the pipe to the outside faucet broke (well more like Chad broke it) and last but not least half of our very small tree fell down. To say the least we have quickly learned what it means to be a home owner.

Camping

Over the 4th of July weekend Jared and I went camping with his family. We went to Camperworld at the base of Mt. Nebo which is just a few miles away from Nephi. It was a lot of fun but very hot. It was the first time in a long time that the whole Vidoni family has been together. Hopefully this little camping trip will become a tradition. While we were camping we celebrated Taggart and Race's birthday. Below you can see them opening their presents.

Here are a few snap shots of the family playing frisbee and horse shoes...

One of my favorite memories from this weekend is playing with the glow sticks. Jared's sisters bought tons of glow sticks and made fun "outfits" for the kids. Jared, his dad and his brother Jimmy had just as much fun as the kids did.
